My feelings about the human
condition and my own condition
specifically, seem to flow
from my current work of lone
skiffs, adirondacks and
architecture. These 'things'
become mirrors of my
relationship to social and
moral order. Paintings of
skiffs facing towards the sea,
for example, become analogies
to human mortality ...
