My paintings are not about the next thing. They are not about style. They are not about fashion or commerce. My paintings are about the subtle and the sublime--a continuation of the spirit inherent in the work of Mark Rothko, Ad Reinhardt, and Agnes Martin. My work is intended to engage a dialogue between the viewer and the phosphene-like images that radiate with patient contemplation--ghost images that appear at a distance and disappear at the close examination of the painted surface.
