Eliane Ambrose
Oil Artist
Eliane Ambrose studied intensively under the tutelage of international artist Dennis Blalock. Eliane works strictly in oil. I want to master one medium and one medium only Eliane says. She has held eleven one woman shows since 1992. Eliane paints realistically or in the style of the impressionists from still life to en plain air. At times she turns to abstract to allow the canvas to speak to her inner sense. She has won numerous awards for her paintings with juried exhibitions to include: The popular vote award at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD. Eliane is a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, the Valley Art Association in Hagerstown, MD, the Franklin County Art Alliance, Waynesboro, PA, the Waynesboro Studio Club in Waynesboro, PA. She is also a member of the Spectrum Seven which is a group of woman artist.
Elianes work is on permanent display in many galleries and in private collections in Florida, California, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania and in her native France. Some of her work is on permanent display at F & M Trust Bank of Chambersburg, PA, Gallery 30 in Gettysburg, PA and Cup of Joes in Greencastle, PA, The Washington County Art Council in Hagerstown, MD. Her work has been exhibited in these areas as well:
Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Maryland
The International Icarus Show, North Carolina
Franklin County Art Council, Pennsylvania
Washington County Art Council, Maryland
Transcendental Arts Council, Virginia
The Hanover Art Guild, Pennsylvania
The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts (along with John Mellencamps work) Indiana
The Strathmore Hall Foundation, Maryland
The Benjamin Galleries, Maryland
Thomas June Gallery, Pennsylvania
Cup of Joe, Pennsylvania
The Contemporary Art Gallery, Maryland
The Council for the Art, Maryland
The Washington County Hospital, Maryland
The Hoover House, Pennsylvania
As an Artist and international poet, my paintings are as diversified as my life. My work is an unconscious connection between God and nature. I allow the paintings to speak to my inner sense and feelings while using color to intensify what I feel.
